FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Consultation?
Consultations are required for those who have done previous PMU or Microblading procedures in the area to be treated. Also, those who are not sure of what to expect and are not sure if they’re good candidates. We will analyze the best shape and technique for you. Consultations are free of charge!
Is PMU Permanent?
Even though it’s known as “permanent makeup”, the procedure is semi-permanent and expected to last between 12-24 months. It fades over time and won't last forever. It’s also not a tattoo.
What’s the difference between Microblading and PMU?
Microblading is done with blades that cut your skin, allowing the pigment to penetrate into its superficial layers, lasting from 6-9 months. PMU uses a nano needle to implant pigments superficially. This is less harmful and lasting longer.
How long will my PMU appointment last for?
We estimate the procedures to be completed within 2 hours or less. It varies according to each client’s needs for additional numbing or pauses. We want to make sure you’re comfortable and ready.
Is it painful?
Even though pain is relative and different for everyone, we have topical numbing available and different techniques will be performed to ease any discomfort. Many clients fall asleep during the procedure and most say threading hurts a lot more!
Is it safe?
Totally! We work and follow protocols in accordance with biosafety and biosecurity standards, acting on a very superficial layer of the skin, so there’s barely any bleeding. Disposable material is used to eliminate the risk of contamination. Most of the ingredients are organic but feel free to take an allergy test or have a quick patch test done during your consultation. We have no history of allergic reactions with any of our previous clients.
I had a previous procedure done by another artist. Can I come in for a touch up?
You may have to wait till the pigment has faded to come in for a consultation and we will try our best to offer a procedure that will go over your previous one.
*Please note that this is charged in full as a new procedure and not a touch up.
